Looking for some suggestions for the larger motors and esc's for a very large build. I would still like some sort of performance but dependability as well. Any ideas?
 
Hi there quadzimodo. One of my builds is a 700 size quad. I am building it to be a experiment in efficiency and reasonable performance. You have not said what size your budget is. For a big budget check out KDE Direct. They are the Mercedes of brushless power. For a less expensive alternative check out T-Motor. They are like the Buick of brushless power. My budget required the T-Motor option: 3508 380kv, 20 amp 600 hz T-Motor esc ( because I am using 4s 10c lipo ). Have fun!
 
Hey thanks for pointing me in a cpl directions on the motors. The KDE motors are just way outta budget but i did like the T motors and the information they provide really helps in the motor prop combos. I really like the 700 size quads but I'm looking to go a lot larger like 1400 plus size for some serious heavy lifting.
 
You're welcome. That sounds like octocopter size. That's some serious size and expense and way cool!! You should do a build log posted on the forum. Your project sounds like a blast and will surely attract a following. :)
