Fy801 with "dead" motor

I realize I've got a cheapo machine but money's tight at the moment and I'd like to learn how to fly on something cheap.
I've got a Fayee FY801 that always had a lazy motor (back right). Now it is not turning at all when the propeller is on. If I pull off the prop the spindle feels like it's turning.

What could be wrong with the device? And how do I fix it?

Brushed motors don't last long just running. never mind if you have a few crashes. Easily replaced if you know how.
Other than that it's the board. Which is not really worth replacing.
 
You have to be really careful with push on pull off props. You can push the stator out the housing or bend loosen the shaft.
 
Ok. I popped by my local store and the drone guy suggests the same. But the motors they had are $10 each.
I forgot to ask the size or other stats (kids were with me). How do I find this stuff out? Pull it off and measure?
I may just end up buying another cheap quad but I thought I'd try my hand at soldering.
 
It will only be 7 or 8mm. I have never come across any bigger brushed motors on toy quads. $10 is a bit steep for 1motor. They usually come in pairs or 4's.
Quick gander on ebay UK says 20x 8mm motors for inductrix =£20. What drone have you got. There is bigger brushed motors but for the likes of model boats.
 
Fy801 but I can't find anything useful online about it. I'm wondering if it's a knock off of a proper brand?
Its $10 cdn. Might have been for a pair I didn't get a good look at the package.

At this point I'll probably look into buying a new toy or entry machine.
