FTr16S receiver with FS-i6

Had a question that I couldn't find an answer to while searching the web. Bought a FTr16S receiver and I own a FS-i6 transmitter. Before I begin to solder these tiny pads, will this receiver bind to my transmitter?

Hey there. From what I find, the receiver speaks in AFHDS 3 protocol. The tx speaks AFHDS 2, so will not be compatible.

Thanks for the answer! I do have a fs-ia6 receiver that would work but I can't figure out how to set it up for drones. I believe this receiver is used for fixed winged model? Is there a way to use it for drones?

The ia6 can be used with older flight controllers that have pads for each of the channels, and would require PWM signal. Most everything today is made for 1 wire signal coms.
The x6b is pretty readily available, and is reliable & solid.
