Hello, I have been following the 99 drone build on uavfutures and i have build it and it all seems to be working but when i solder up the XM + Micro it doesn't seem to have any power, i have plugged in my lipo and i have the F3 deluxe FC, is it bust or am i just being a complete noob, any help would be grateful.

Thank You

Do you have a multimeter to test if your flight controller is outputting the proper 5 volts to your XM+? May be a faulty 5V regulator

I made a costly mistake the other week and didn't realise I had done it.
Just simply tried to plug in lipo but got it the wrong way round. No spark or smoke but it must have touched. It was only later I couldn't figure out why I was getting continuity from the AIO. Somthing must have fried inside. Funnily enough it can still connect to inav and works it's just the battery input side is bust.
Well seems that way to me. When I get time I will hook it up like a normal fcb to 5v and see if it still works on a setup.

I'm building my first drone now and I always test the +/- (power / ground) cables with a multimeter after soldering. I also check that the voltage is correct. A very useful tool. In addition, I bought a Smoke Stopper for extra safety the first time I plug in the battery. If it shows a green light everything is supposed to be ok. So fra so good...

I thought that I had busted my PDB a couple of days ago thou... nothing happened when I connected the battery.... It was a cable that simply popped off. I have to practice my soldering....

Yeah it might be a few things then, i ordered another xm + to see if it was actually the Rx if not then i will go get a multi meter and see if its the regulator, thank you all for you help :)
