Do any of the available flight controllers for multi-rotors work 'right out of the box', or do they all require some programming / tuning? thanks.

Hi mate the nase32 works out of the box , out of the 1000s sold I think one had a bad gyro , KK2.1.5 just need to be flashed with steveis1.8s1pro and that will fly on the default setting , Naza M needs a little set up buts its very simple Pc software is very easy to use and shows you what it wants , when I say set up its like do you want manual mode or failsafe , do you want IOC thats it

thank you very much. i think i'll try the naze32, have heard lots about it. mike

It is good but CANT be used with anything DJI the guy who makes the nase does not like DJI so has make sure the nase32 will not work on any DJI product so wont work on the flame wheel etc
What I do like about the nase32 is if the have a 250 race frame with tube arms you can tilt motors for faster forward flight ,then tell the nase they are tilted and it will then hover level, very clever
