First fpv drone

Hello guys, i'm new here and I'll buy my first drone soon. I'm initially thinking between the XK X260 (FPV version) and the MJX Bugs3 (and lately install FPV on them, but it would take a while and it would be a little expensive). They are for the same price and it's the money that I saved. Can anyone who has either of them tell me how he behaves after some time of use? Do the engines need to be replaced often? And finally, if I choose the X260, can I remove the camera from it, install it on Bugs3 afterwards and use the FPV system with the monitor that comes with the X260 as well? Hello. That xk x260 looks like a knock off of my first quad, a JJRC V686g which was a knockoff of the WLToys V686g. I'm currently using the monitor with a standalone FPV system. But the camera is a different story. It's powered and controlled by the main Flight Control board of the quad. Try as I might I could never get the camera to work independently. There are 4 wires.........red, black, yellow and white. But there is no surety which wires do what as they are not consistent in following the usual color codes. After my first attempt(power for the red wire, ground for the black wire) I started researching and could not find a consistent answer as to which wire did what. But for an inexpensive "toy" quad, the camera did some fairly decent recordings but had limited(very) range and viewing the LCD monitor was almost a lost cause. Between "break" up in the video signal and glare(even with the sunshade) it was only good for a glance to check orientation. But I flew the hell out of it and rebuilt it several times after crashes. It finally ended up in about 5 pieces and is now in my "parts" drawer...............

Very good to know this, as I am a beginner I believe that an XK260 would be good for me, and despite being similar to your I think it has some improvements. Anyway now I know it would be difficult to reuse your camera in the future with Bugs3.

The best I ever got was about 100 yards. Then I would start getting signs that I was losing connection. Delayed response and then dropoutofthesky..................

Wow, this is bad. Now I'm inclined to stick with Bugs3 and then buy the separate FPV system, unfortunately it would take a little bit because in Brazil things are 2-3x more expensive than in the rest of the world. But I also think that by having a brushless motor, Bugs3 would be difficult to be controlled by a newbie like me which could result in crashes. And here I go with my difficulty in making decisions. :D

I have an XK X300-W. It's my first drone. I have only tried to fly it twice. I like it a lot. It is a substantial aircraft, not a toy. I paid $98 for it and it's worth every penny. I bought it because I researched "beginner's drones" and it was quite often cited as the best, beginner's drone on the market.

I crash it a lot, because that's what you do when you're learning. But, so far, all I have had to do is put the prop guards back on and it's good to go again. Once I learn how to fly it, I plan to upgrade to a Phantom 4 or something like that but, for now, I am very happy with what I have.

I bought the X260 for $70 in a sale, the X300 is $90 now, but the 260 has complete FPV. I'm still waiting for his arrive.

Here's something I learned. You have to calibrate your drone after every crash or hard landing. I didn't know that. I had several crashes. I put the prop guards back on and tried it again. Another crash. Then, when I tried to take off, instead of hovering, it just put its nose down and took off, about a foot off the ground. Cause? No calibration. You may know this already. I didn't. Stay well.

I didnt know that, glad to know now. I guess the calibration is done by pressing a button in the controller.
