First Drone for a Newb!?

I am new to these beautiful machines and am looking at purchasing my first drone... I was interested in the JXD 509G due to its 10 minute flying time per 60 minute charge. Also because its about $100 and don't want to crash a $500+ drone on my first flight.

Any other drones that are recommended for newb's such as myself?

I would have no problems with that, but the Syma X5C seems to be getting a good reputation for a trainer quad that lets beginners get the feal of a hobby grade quad without the expensive crashes that come with learning.

Jackson and Mike have more experience in trainer, and non-hobby grade than I do however so their input would be really good.

I wouldn't buy into the 10 min flight time, especially if you are using the camera and FPV. Camera has a lot of jello too, the footage is basically unusable.

This looks like a nice package. Spare props, 2 motors and 3 extra 750mAh (plus the original) batterries.

Another vote for the Syma X5c-1.

Can't go wrong with these. Good to learn on, decent flyer, relatively inexpensive and LOTS of spare parts easily available (you'll need 'em!).

+1 on the Syma, or the Striker clone

usually available for under $60, flies good, basic camera functions.
