first build woes

i am building a dji450 clone, it has kk2.1 flightboard , 4 x spider k 30a ESC , 4 x turnigy multistar 2213 motors ,orange 2615 rx and spektrum dx6i , have connected the battery and nothing ...no power to the flight board , all i get is a beeping from the ESCs ... it beeps once every 3 or so seconds ..thats it GRRRR

thanks for all the help you guys have offered to a newbie.....i have sorted the problem out myself ...

What was the issue? Did you have the ESC leads connected backwards to the board so the power wires were on the wrong side? That usually messes people up at first.

The problem was the esc are opto ..i was expecting them to power the kk board but they dont ..i have ordered a ubec instead .not before killing my kk board
 
Ohhhh - that will do it. Good thing it was only a KK board though, and not something more expensive! Good luck with the rest of your build.
 
Hi Andy the kk gets its power from the esc on motor 1 , when its bleeping what does screen say , if its safe then board is not armed with the transmitter on and throttle at zero push and hold rudder right , the led will light up and screen will say armed ( when messing with settings please remove props ) if the transmitter is not on most kk will turn on and bleep to say they are on but locked in safe mode , you can still go into set up , while in set up menu the kk will not arm till you come back to the safe screen
The ubec will need to be plugged into the battery port on the receiver and this will then power the kk as your using opto esc which you already found out hope this helps
