First Build Sorrows

It is built, but not in the air yet. Basically a really cool paperweight so far! I have to pick up some more solder tomorrow to wire up the new receiver, but still can't get the ar610 to cooperate. Not giving up yet!

Nice you have a strong fighting spirit keep it up;)

Just had a thought..........Try going into your config tab and change provider from
I just tried every combination of serial rx and receiver type with no luck. I also tried switching around the signal wires from the FC into the receiver seeing as how ch1 on the receiver was reversed, but nothing. I took screenshots of almost all of the pages and will try to upload them. I haven't touched the Power & Battery, PID Tuning, Modes, Motors, Blackbox, or CLI tabs yet. From the videos I've watched I shouldn't need to until I get a good communication between my transmitter and Betaflight, correct?

In the ports tab, untoggle the UART2 serial rx. it's not needed as your receiver is PWM. Also, in checking the AR610 receiver it appears that the channels are set up as AETR1234. Try changing it to this in the receiver tab under channel mapping.

Thank you! I just want to start flying!!!

Thank you for letting me know about the serial rx, I wasn't sure if it would matter or not since the reciever is pwm.

But unfortunately I'm at a standstill until early next week... I have a saltwater reef tank that I did some maintenance to yesterday (which is a few feet from my work station) and somehow a drop or two of saltwater got onto my FC... I tried cleaning it up the best I could and letting it dry, but no success... No response at all from the FC and I tried reflashing numerous times. I've been eyeing the Flyduino stuff for a while anyways and even had their 24A ESCs in my shopping cart already, so I emptied my wallet while I was at it and ordered the KISS pdb, FC, and ESCs hahaha I should have listened to my gut in the first place and just bought the nicer equipment to begin with, but I was stubborn and went the cheap route...

Sweet! Shame that you're putting all that nice gear in that outdated old ZMR frame though.............

Oh don't worry, the frame and maybe the motors will be the next paycheck or two lol

I love their slammed frame and for $50 less than the Alien! I see many hours of searching/research in my future... That 6" looks great too! How did you like the emax motors?

Also, here is another frame I've always liked: https://store.rotorriot.com/the-remix-fpv-freestyle-frame-by-ummagawd-gold/
The Emax SE's are nice, but they're power suckers. If you like the Remix freestyle type frame, you should also look at the Chameleon. But just like anything, Armattan, Lumenier, Immersion are all priced twice as much as they're worth because you're paying for the name.

Well I officially own an Armattan Chameleon! Like I said in the last post, I had narrowed it down to the Chameleon and the Remix. But I found a brand new Chameleon in it's original packaging for $50. Best I can tell, it's not a clone, especially since it's in Armattan packaging. Also, the lifetime warranty helped push me over the edge lol

Score!! Make sure you start a build thread when you get started. We love pics!!

Oh there will be plenty of pictures! I think it's safe to say I can wrap up this particular thread for now. Thank you to everyone for all of the wisdom! It is greatly appreciated. Once I get my Chameleon up and running I will most likely turn back to the ZMR250 since I basically have everything I need to build an extra quad now, although it would be mostly cheap parts lol

Since it is for experimental right? try to avoid from expensive parts:)

Definitely! That's why I was so excited to find that half-priced Chameleon frame! I definitely want to get more involved in quads as I see it being something I will be doing for a very long time.

Nice good for you mister I hope that your creations will all succeed :)
