Firmware SCHIRMWARE!!!

I am going nuts over here, trying to update the firmware on my Phantom 4 as well as on the battery and the transmitter. It's pretty much impossible to do. There are dozens of videos on how to do it on YouTube and none of them help.

The thing is, nowhere am I getting any message on my viewing screen through the DJI Go App that there is any NEED for me to upgrade my firmware. As far as I can tell, I have the latest version of firmware. I just purchased the Phantom 4 less than a month ago.

So why am I going through all this? Is it really necessary at this point? So long as I am not being advised via the app, that a firmware update is required, is it really necessary to do anything?
 
Has the app on phone or tab been updated. Take a break.
Start with the phone app, then the tx
& lastly the copter itself.
Find out the steps individually & follow them slowly. Write them down in a notebook.
 
When you open the Go 4 app, before you even click go fly, you'll get a message in the top-left corner telling you if your FW is up to date or if it needs to be upgraded. If it's green, just go fly the damn thing
