Fc compatibility with frsky rx

Hi guys,

I am trying to get parts together for my first drone build. I am thinking that I have almost everything ready but FC and Rx.

I bought Frsky Taranis X9D+ and prepare to buy frsky Rx. I am thinking about accst r-xsr or rx6r (better range?). I read about compatibility issues between frsky Rxs and FC with F1 and F4 cpus. But I read also some articles about flashing frsky Rxs with their software and probably after that they can work with F4s FC. Is that truth?

I am pretty unsure what for FC should I buy. I do not want to pay for expensive FC and I am looking for something under 50€.

Which FC should I buy? F3 and be okay with compatibility but have older cleanflight or F7 much expensive but with newer betaflight or should I buy F4 and try to flash frsky Rxs? Will be F3 acro good for me as a beginner thinking about pins for escs, spare uarts and other ports? For that price looks for me unbeatable.

I plan to run FPV later, but first without it, I have config:
- 20A esc Cyclone 4pcs
- motors MT2204 2300kv readytosky
- frame mark4
- battery lipo cnhl 3S 2000mah 100C
- props 5045
- matek systems pdb-xt60 w/ or matek mini power hub
- mini tracker buzzer
- gps Beitian BN880

Please help me cause I do not have experience with this yet.

I've got 5 tiptop quads on my wall & 2 wings.
& could have a few more if I could get the F3 boards flashed I found in a box. Old but pristine.
I got the last omnibus hex files 4.0 & 3.5.7 but they don't flash. It will be the same with F1 boards aswell. So I would stay away from F1 & F3 unless you know you can flash them.
As betaflight no longer supports them.
If you can, I need to know how you did.
You want F7 or F4
Don't waste time on 3S lipo's just get 4S it's not that much more of a jump. For freestyle I don't go over 1800mah & 2200mah for wings. 5 minute rips are enough.

Hello. Thank you for your reply. In time I have bought other FC SpeedyBee F405 a Rx FrSky R-X6R. I liked the design of FC and bluetooth configuration via phone. Now I am trying to get things solder together.

About batteries, I have bought 3 of those 3S. CNHL 3S 2000mAh 100C and HRB 3S 3000mAh 60C... I was doubt about buying a 4S battery because my motors have specs that they can run max 3S battery: Readytosky MT2204 2300kv . Is that true?
 
I got a quad with dys 1806 5" tri blade props that I run 4s on & they are rated 3S.
Just a bunch of old components I threw together for my nephew to practice with. Should only really be a 4" prop or a less aggressive pitch on the 5".
I had this when I first started. I crashed a quad & had spares & thought sod it, so I attached a motor to esc to a servo controller & 4s battery.
Voila. Gutted I was especially when you get that extra kick with a 4s. So all my 3s are used for ground station now & goggles.
I'd be betting them motors are fine on 4s but no mad long punch outs 3-4 seconds max.
Send it up fly a bit aggressive then check motor temp. All my quads except 1 run emax 2205 race edition 2300kv. Racerstar 2206 2600kv.
my micro's on 1106 3800kv & all run 4s.
All motors I've had I've just put 4s on them because it works. I think the cyclone esc's are rated 4s as they are pretty much the same as my pocket rocket 20amp which are spedix rebrands. You would probably be needing spares soon anyway. Never just buy 4 always get a spare or couple. & I always test parts before use.
Do you have a multi meter. Most import piece of kit apart from soldering iron.
