Hi fellow rc pilots & rc enthusiasts

Eachine EX4 review. In this Eachine EX4 review I include unboxing, inspection, 5G wifi requirements, app, flight and gimbal stability tests. I used an iphone 8 plus, ios version 13.3 and app version 1.38 but could not get the features to work, but the camera, gimbal, flight stability, duration and performance is what this craft is really about.

Thanks. A most useful review. The things that stood out for me were the stabiity (weight 440gm), long flight time, gimble stabalised camera and smoothness of the video but the fact that it only takes 1080p video is a non-starter for me. Also of interest was that this is almost identical to the 1080p JJRC X12.

I bought a JJRC X11 (Bugs 4W?) which wis superb value, but lacks a stabalised gimble camera, although it's camera is rotatable through 90 degrees vertically. Its big bonus is that at 640 or so grammes, it will lift my CheapPro 4K stabalised camera, quite comfortably, which gives excellent results, although slinging this underneath, is awkward.

For those whose priority is good video, at a reasonable price, it seems that the Mavic Mini has set the bench mark. Having seen one in operation recently, I was impressed with its ease of use, quietness, good interface and video results but at getting on for 3 times the amount I paid for the JJRC X11, I would expect it to be that much superior.

Is there such things as a minimum price point at which one can expect good quality stabalised video from a quadcopter?

Yes, this sets the benchmark at best value.

Hello, my EX4 crashed to the wall that caused camera lens protective glass crack. I removed the protective glass. Lens not damaged but it is not focusing anymore. What can be a problem how to solve it ? Help please

Hello, I just got the EX4. I have a ImageMate PRO microSDXC UHS-1 Card 64 GB. Does this card works for the EX4? I really appreciate any input.. Thanks

I checked the manual for my last years model EX4, also know as a JJRC X12, and it shows the maximum supported camera micro SD card as 32 GB and class 10, so 64 GB does not work with this drone. The batteries for my EX4 expanded so that the battery cover came off, and then it did not fit into the drone due to the swelled thickness, and the lithium polymer batteries can catch fire so they are dangerous. To store them 50% charge is best when not in use during the winter season. Okay good luck and have fun.

Do you have an idea which card I should get? It's confusing to know what's the proper SD card because there're so many. Could you please send me a link, -Amazon link- if you know which one works the best?

Thank you very much. You have been so kind

Gratefully

Hello Jim4b,
Thank you very much for the info. I will get the 32 GB SD card...

All the Best
Mariana
That looks like a good SD card, to me. If you are good at computers, you should be able to format this 64GB card to 32GB, which should then work.

Just get the middle priced

The batteries failed on my EX4 from 8-2020 I think for 2 reasons. They expanded due to the chemical action and then pushed off the bottom case piece of it so you could see the insides and it became dangerous for this reason and did not fit in any more. I charged them up to full charge just before storing it for the fall and winter, when I found out latter the best procedure is to get the batteries power charge down to near 50% when not in use for a while. Also I think the design of these is not so good. Listed at 11.4 volt 2400 mAh, may not be a good electrical ratio since the volts are rather high. And the battery space on the drone to install it is not large enough since it just barely fits when still good.
