Drone with removable camera

I may be over optimistic in my ideas (usually am), but I am looking for a few things. First: a drone to film with on adventures. Second: the drone camera to be removable so I can take photos/video off the drone.

I was doing some research a couple years ago and I came across a drone that had this option, but for the life of me I can’t remember who made it. I believe it was a contender around the time the dji mavic pro 2 came out. I also believe it had an orange body. If I remember right it even came with a handheld gimbal. I was considering it because at the time I was looking into real estate photography and thought it would be great to fly the drone for aerial shots and then fly it to the front door - switch it the handheld gimbal and it might look like a seamless video.

I know this is wacky, but I’m on the hunt and can’t find it. Thanks!

Sounds like you are looking for a drone for commercial purposes.
If yes, I would suggest DJI drones. They are very reliable. They have long range as well as long flight time.
Quite expensive though.

RE : Second: the drone camera to be removable so I can take photos/video off the drone.
There is no reason to taking the camera out so you can take photos/video off the drone. I may have misunderstood what you said. If so, I apologize.
Most drones which cost as little as $200 to as much as a few thousand dollars are equipped with slots for sd card installation.
While the drone is in flight
, you will see what the camera sees via your smartphone, and you can also at the same time record the pictures or videos into the sd card. Afterwards, you can take the sd card out and play it in your computer or any image display device.

RE : If I remember right it even came with a handheld gimbal.
What is a "handheld gimbal"? Please describe what it is used for.
I don't understand what you said.
Sorry.

P.S. I do not own a dji drone. My knowledge of dji drones is limited.

Thanks for the response. I’ll clarify a few things…

Not looking for commercial purposes. I’d like a drone that has a good camera and that it is also removable.

I specifically remember finding one that was decent and the camera was removable so you could take pictures/film without having to use the drone. Any tips to which one that might be would be very much appreciated.

The handheld gimbal was just a stick that held the camera and stabilized it so you could walk around while filming without the video bouncing around like it would if you were holding it directly in your hand.

I’m almost positive it wasn’t a dji. Autel sounded right, but when looking into them I couldn’t find what I remembered.

You don't need to remove the camera. You have sd card to record and save the pictures/video, and you can take it out from the drone and use it for play back.

OK. Now I know what you mean. A real good one can be very expensive. I have seen "you-tuber" uses one of those making videos. But what does that have to do with flying a drone?

Sorry for the duplicate response. For what I want to do with the camera, I do need it to be removable. I’m not going to carry around a drone to snap a picture of something while I’m on a hike or walking at an air show. The point of me explaining the gimbal was because it was part of the package this company sold. I’m sorry for the confusion, but I’m not trying to debate why I want this certain one, just looking for help on who made it.

I have a JJRC X11 (680gm), a few years old now, but I sometimes fly it with a GoPro equivalent slung underneath. My Action cam came with a strap and enough fittings to strap the cam underneath.

Also, I have a handheld gimble stick (Jcrobot S5 3-Axis Handheld bluetooth Gimbal Stabilizer For GoPro) with a Gimbal Adapter Mount Bracket Universal For Gopro 6/5/4/3/3+/Xiaoyi

I appreciate this isn't quite the answer that you were looking for but it works well for me.

I think the drone your looking for is the karma by gopro. It has all of the features you mentioned. However, gopro stopped making them and from what I heard the drone sucked.

You might look at the dji mini 2 or 3pro. You can use the camera on both while holding it in your hand with the motors off. They are also small enough that you could fly them inside if you put prop gaurds on them.

There is also the power egg x but the drone functions are limited and the camera is ok.

For the record I do not own any of these drones. I have been researching and looking for a drone with removeable camera aswell and those were the best options I have found so far.
