Drone recommendation

Hi I currently have a camera drone, a DJI Spark that I really like since i bought it in 2019. One of the reasons i bought the Spark was to fly it around my neighborhood and take pictures of my house and my neighboors houses.....WRONG.. I found I live in the outward 2/3 of a no fly zone. I have to travel almost 10 miles just to fly my drone. Had no idea there was such a thing as a no fly zone....well in combat zones i did. I can't even fly my drone in my own house. I am not a criminal or do anything criminally wrong with my drone. I just want a camera drone with GPS that does not have geo fencing. Or any other sugestions

I dislike that you can't fly out of your yard since it sounds like you are a responsible drone pilot. There are commercial off of the shelf drones or you could custom build one that will not geofence you in as long as you stick with the initial firmware.

thanks for your reply ringolong. I read after I posted this that DJI was the only drone maker that uses GEO FENCING, do you know if that is so. One feature i do like on the Spark is the RTH when i lose the connection and also a topographical map in the corner i can swap with the camera view that shows where i took off from so i can get back home. The latter of the two probably would not need if i went FPV. Just fact finding at the moment. Want to see what the FAA is going to do about drones in a year or so. Someone at the FAA probably got a bunch of cash from Amazon. The FAA will let drone deliveries do everything they say we can't like fly at night, fly over people, fly over moving cars...etc

Autel actually does now too, but you can get one with older firmware that does not have the geofencing update. They are a bit more than the Spark, but you are getting A LOT more functionality without being geofenced. You can probably get into a custom built for a little less, but it is going to take a long more time to build what all you want and for it to be as reliable.
