DJI Spark strange problem

I have just acquired my Spark and it works fine, apart for one annoying thing. When I turn on the remote controller it doesn't appear on my wifi setting until I turn the controller off and restart it. Always works on the second attempt. Anyone else had this annoying glitch? Not the phone as it does the same thing on my tablet.

I don't quite understand what you mean by checking the wifi settings. Once your Spark is calibrated and everything is updated, you shouldn't have to go into the wifi settings. Turn on your controller, turn on your Spark, wait for it to link to controller, open app, click on go fly, go fly!

The Spark and controller connect just fine. But The controller doesn't appear on my wifi connection list until I turn off the controller and turn it back on, then everything is okay

Why are you checking your phone wifi connection? I have the mavic air and I think they connect the same way, but I have never checked my wifi before I fly. Does your phone plug into the remote?

I have looked online and found many people are having the same problem. Also, I can't get the OTG cable to work, some people are saying the DJI app has now disabled this function

There's been thousands of threads on this topic, they're never-ending. Fact is, the OTG does and always has worked very well for me. The only thing I can comment on is that the Spark can be a little picky on the order you turn everything on and plug things in. For instance if you try to power up the Spark witht the OTG cable connected, it just won't link. It's fussy that way

Your OTG isn't working?

Um... On an iPhone, the phone always reports "unsupported device" because it doesn't know how to back up to or show pictures or play videos from a spark remote. Just click that away as GO 4 knows what it is.
