dji phantom 2 arrived today

So its been a rough few weeks but I've gone from having no quadcopters to now currently having 4

My dji phantom 2 arrived today picked it up second hand haven't had a chance to mess around with it so far but hopefully il get some time tomorrow

Any phantom owners on here that could offer some advice in relation to operating one of these ? The previous owner talked me thru the basics but I'd like to know more about the GPS ioc etc

Hi mate there are loads of videos on you tube for the phamton , it is much easier to watch it than read how too
 
Yes very true I did go and fly OMG the cobra just fell from the sky as wind dropped off saved it in time, quad was staying up on its own in the wind
 
And I did both of those lol GPS on and it hadn't a lock and took off forwards lol ploughed into leg of chair didn't do any harm thankfully ah well

Tried flying the sk450 in the kitchen the day before it was fun ! You think you kitchen is a decent size until you start flying something 450 in size with 10" props hahaha
 
I brought the phantom out half an hour ago just to try get it off the ground and hover about 2' off the ground but it kept dropping to the ground and wind was whipping up again and was afraid to try going any higher so I landed and brought it inside I'll just have to wait until week after next as they are forecasting bad winds and rain all week and possibly snow :(

Suppose I could try flying in my uncles hay shed ?
