DJI now replaces drones under DJI Care Refresh

It ain't a free lunch., You pay for the coverage. It's an insurance policy you buy. I didn't read all the details but I would advise that you keep your receipt(s) for either or both of those quads that are covered by it. You will need to prove you bought one or the other.

It depends on whether you are a loyal fan of DJI products or not. If you are only keen on DJI drones and are not confident in your flying skills, or are willing to spend more money on DJI drones as a hobby, you can buy insurance. After all, you can have some money left when repairing broken drones.
