Difference between normal and reverse motors

What is the difference between normal rotation and reverse rotation motors? I would assume it is basically the thread of the shaft and retention nut.

Now if I had 4 normal rotation motors and crossed the power leads of two of the motors and used M5 lock nuts on them? Would everything still work ok?

Hi mate Yes CW and CCW motors means the spinners have the threads so the cone tightens in the rotation of the motor so it cant spin off, as for the motors they are the same all brushless motors are 3 phase and by changing 2 wires makes the phasing run the other way so motors spins CW or CCW
As long as the nut is tight it should not come off but it needs to be tight as tight as you can get it without breaking some thing

Look at the motor size the numbers are the size of the can so of its a 2212 motor thats 22 mm high 12 mm wide , look at the ntm motor from hobby king there is a good chance that the prop mounts for the ntms may fit if they are the same size
