Desperate ! Can't get receiver to talk to FC in Betaflight

I have tried 2 different models of receivers. Frsky - V8R4-II and D4R-ii. Both bind without much trouble to my Taranis-Plus but I cannot get any reaction on the receiver tab on Betalight. I have tried every setting I can think of multiple times and have wasted hours on this. Any help is greatly appreciated. Forgot to mention, I am using Speedybee F4 FC. I have soldered a 3 wire harness to the SBUS pin and the ground and 5 volt per the wiring diagram. On my Taranis, I have set the model to D8 using 1-8 channels

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, the answer is yes. I have tried every configuration both on the ports tab and the setup tab with no luck.
