Customer Service Breakdown at Skyline RC

Hey folks. If anyone out there is considering the purchase of a Skyline Quad Pro quadcopter, I'm here to tell you that you'd better reconsider and purchase a different brand completely. The reason for this is a complete breakdown of customer service n the part of Skyline RC Toys.

I have in my possession one of the Quad Pro quadcopters and I can't fly it because of a broken rotor shaft. This is a piece of metal about the thickness of a large paper clip, about two and a half inches long that is inserted into a plastic adapter that the rotor mounts onto. This shaft is then inserted into the transfer housing at the end of the main driveshaft. We're talking about an 8-cent part here. See the picture below...

Skyline RC toys can get me a replacement rotor. They can even provide a replacement transfer housing WITH gears, but for some reason (even though this copter is apparently still in production), they just can't seem to go out and pick one of these shafts out of a parts bin and SELL it to me (I have repeatedly offered to BUY the part). Their solution to my problem? They want me to buy a NEW Quad Pro at $340+ !!! WHAT!?! Buy a $340 copter for want of an 8-cent part?

People, this is NOT good customer service, and while I'm sure this post will disappear within minutes of being posted, it WILL be posted on as many RC forums as I can join. I suggest that anyone considering the purchase of ANY Skyline product take their business elsewhere and spend their money where customer service is better served.

sell them your old quad back for $339 then buy a new one , shame they have to be this way , i think this is why people buy what ever quad there local model shop has , i would not give up on this take it to the top of the company email after email till its sorted , put this item in the safety and warning section in the forum this is where newbies go to find out about what not to buy and watch out for , good luck mate

I'm going to have to do some research to find out who to try to contact. My suspicion is that it's a Pacific Rim country and that I'm going to have a devil of a time getting in touch with anyone who would be willing to help me.

Apologies for not posting in the correct section, is there a way I can move the post or does that have to be done by a moderator/admin?
