Crossfire 2 - Props/Motors Help

Hey all,

im working on putting together the CrossFire 2 (3d printed quad)

The sugestions is the AX-4008D motors, but they are discontinued.

How do i know what motors/props to get? And where can i buy them?

Also what are the differnt shaft configurations out there?

Are you planning on running a 3s lipo? If so, I'd say you should be looking for something with a higher KV, maybe 800-900ish. 620kv is pretty low for a 3s battery. 620kv means 620RPM per volt, so a 4s would spin it faster than a 3s, and 3s probably wont spin that motor fast enough.

So i to total runied my 8' props at home becuase im stupid... SO i put on the 10' props instead (waint for the replacement 8s to come in). Im using a small 3s battery (only 1.5 Ah) i have and the quad does fly be it a little sensative. I was planning to do AUTO TUNE today. I took it out and accidently flipped it to LOITER instead of ALT HOLD. Motors spun up and the quad did a few flips before landing on the ground. One motor fell of the other got ripped from its leg screws intact.

no sure what happend.

any ideas?

I printed a new arm (as the last crash broke it) and tried it again. This time i tried ALT HOLD

it yeilded a "BOUNCE" instead of holding altitude slowly loosing altitude.
looking at the data logs THORT_IN is bouncing between 20 and 48 %.

Hover.. more or less is at 30

What does this mean?
