Continuity between antenna's two solder pads

Should you have continuity between the to solder pads after you remove an antenna, on either 2.4ghz or 5ghz wifi cards? I attached couple pics. It's obvious in the picture which pads I'm talking about because you're pretty much dead center in the pictures.

No the two parts soldered down from an antenna are 1 GND for the shielding and 2 the typically solid wire for the antenna itself which should be hooked to the output of the amplifier circuit so I don't think you should have continuity between them if everything is removed.
 
You may need to clean up the board with some flux remover to see better if there are any bits of metal connecting the two pads but I wouldn't expect them to be connected.
