Continuing on my first build.

I've seen some recommendations to use #14 AWG stranded wire for the battery leads, and #16 or #18 AWG stranded wire for the motors and ESCs. The #14 gauge wire seems reasonable for the battery, but the #16 or 18 gauge seems a bit heavy for other wiring. Thoughts?
 
Well, your motors and ESCs will probably come with 18 awg (seems the standard) so that's what you'll use.
 
You want the nice soft noodle-like silicone wire. Easier to route but even more important, the silicone sheath won't melt back and leave exposed wire when you're soldering like other wire does.
