Should it be secured really well? If its not secure will it make my gps tell my quad to fly random directions?

Hi mate yes it does , it must be fixed so it cant move as the GPS unit uses this to know where it is in space

I upgraded my firmware.... And it thought the compass rotation was 180 degreees..... while the actual rotation is none... That really messes up GPS

It will do they must be the right way up and round on the DJI Phantom its on the leg facing in wires out the top
