Color makes the contrast shown better ?

I had a terminator skull printed sometime ago in white filament. It is a nice print, but it needs to be close by to see the finer details.








Today I printed the same file, except larger in size and in metal grey colour.
It shows the details very clearly even at a distance.
Interesting that the difference of colours can affect the show of fine details.

Yup don't really have the highlight (white shine) vs the base color with the white filament, black also makes it hard to see the details and shapes probably for the same reason basically but lose the shadow gradient on black and keep the highlights. The prusament gray is a nice brushed metal silver look that makes details pop, some translucent green petg I have from inland looks super shiney in vase mode too, but more matte when printing solid objects out of it. Adjusting temp up or down by like 5 degrees can effect the color too (along with flow rate and adhesion)

Banana knight was printed by a co-worker at the office (we convinced them to buy a mk3 and an ender 3). The esk8 white box was actually orange PETG in two pieces glued together and painted but broke at the corners when I dropped it (bad design + carelessness), tweaked the design and printing it in black TPU from hatchbox.
