So I am just putting my new quad together and have encountered a minor problem.

My setup right now
  • 4S 90C Nano-Tech Battery Lipo
  • 30Amp Hobbyking ESC
  • Cobra 2208 2000kv outrunner
  • CC3d controller
  • Orange RX
I have attached a link to the post below to show the problem in more detail.

However in words the motor starts up fine and then at higher throttle positions the motors stops and starts. Ive charged the battery before you ask. :P

Hi mate is it just one motor , I have seen this before but it was multistar motors so if its all 4 they may need ESCs with BLheli code , another thing it may be is its looks like the timing is out if the ESC are programable make sure it set up the same /timing/pwm etc

Hi you will need a program card , The esc you have is more for helis and planes so there are a few setting your need to look at, timing you can change ,2 settings pwm also you need to set them all the same
I was just reading the manual and default is 8 khz but for an out runner like yours it should be 16 khz so you do need a program card or do it through the transmitter look at the manual it will tell you how , your have to do each esc one at a time Also these ESCs can be flashed with simonk and BLheli code

I have this programming card for the hobbyking esc. Is the timing the setting you are referencing to ?
