Cheerwing CW4

JUST bought a cheerwing cw4 for me and kids to learn on. Fresh out of the box, toying around, quadcopter got caught in bush on full throttle and burned out motor (could smell it). After exhaustive search for replacements, I finally just measured the motor and ordered what I thought were good replacements and even went to hobby store in town and they matched up as best they could. The hobby store motor doesn't have enough lift and the four I ordered turned out to be wrong size. After more research, it looks like the CW4-u42w is identical to the petrel u42w. Not sure though. I have looked everywhere for replacement motors. Does anyone know of the correct replacement motor? I only spent about 50.00 to learn on this thing and many more attempts and I should have just bought a new quadcopter! Getting frustrated. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply! I had not found that site. Tried to order but it doesn't seem to go through.

The measurements I was able to come up with 20mm length (just motor case), 24mm with shaft, and 8mm diameter. The size issue only occurred when I didn't pay attention to what I ordered and got 7mm. The hobby store was spot on but it had much less lift so wouldn't get off the ground. The motor should be here tomorrow so hopefully they will fit (no sizes listed just did a lot of research on the Petrel and it "appears" to be the same including dimensions and weight just with added wifi).

Edit: I take that back, after digging deeper, I had checked that site and it said they were out. Doesn't say that now but maybe that is why it won't let me order? On a positive note, I did a search on that site for petrel motor and that same motor is what pops us so sounds like I may have gotten it right. For that price I sure would love to order the whole motor set but for now I will settle for just getting off the ground.

Ahhhh! Maybe that was the issue then. They initially brought one out with a gear except it was brass so I asked if it could be removed because I can't use it on plastic. It couldn't. They came back with one (same size) but no gear. Fingers crossed for the new motors (which have gears!).

Follow up:

Motors for the petrel u42w worked perfectly! Will probably order another set just in case. Now the only concern is if the gears on the housing go out. Thanks for help!
