cheapest good way to setup x5c-1 with fpv

cool thanks! the more i research, the more i see that the phantom 3 standard is perfect for me and i love how it has 25 mins flight time, i hope i can get it this year and that they don't discontinue it. im worried they will either discontinue it or have a phantom 4 standard instead and go all appley and take away features the p3 had to make people want to get the more expensive models, or worried that they will add gps function to the p4 standard which will reduce flight time D: (yeah i worry a lot with anxiety issues lol)

im glad i started with x5c though to get my feet wet, it would be kinda scary to me to see 500-1000$ flying around hundreds of feet in the air at the mercy of a remote controller with gravity constantly watching lol.

i see videos of the dji inspire which costs thousands and i see em randomly crash for no reason! not sure whats up with that :S

tbh im already craving the p3....i hate how short the flight time is on my syma and i hate how shaky and grainy the video is...even if i upgrade the camera, no upgrade compares to the crisp picture of the phantom and how smoothly it flies!

i think the older phantoms may have been too expensives, but considering the new p3 standard has epic picture, FVP and etc for 500$, that seems reasonable, and YOLO and i didnt get a girlfriend in this life....so all valid reasons to get one :D

So sell me your x5c for cheap and get the DJI.. :)

i'd like to lol but i need to act less on impulse! gonna spend more time on the x5c and if i really feel like im enthused i will get the phantom later this year.

btw i love my x5c so i dont want to sound like im hating on it, i just wish the videos on youtube didn't look like the drone was struggling to carry the camera.

tbh if people could upload videos of their x5c over nice scenery like bora bora or nice places in europe, id prolly be more enthused over it, im very impressionable lol.

i just dont understand why even the old the phantom 1 videos are so smooth and crisp, but even with the x5c stock camera, it looks like constantly struggling to fly :S

though i think with the 808 keychain camera and a nice wind free day its hard to beat for 50$ + 40 for camera

I just wanted to u
You wont be able to record without a slight mod...The TX has no video record function.
..its more of a just see on the screen as you fly but, you can record if you want.

The camera has a black and a yellow wire coming out of it...If you short the yellow and black wires for 3 seconds the camera will actually record the flight video and not just monitor it...Short the wires again for 1 second and video stops recording.

What most are doing is installing a micro momentary switch to the quad and using it to start/stop recording....You can upgrade the antennas on both the camera and monitor if you wanted.

Be sure to use a quality SD card for better quality recording...the one it comes with isnt the best.
I just wanted to update this to keep bad information from being spread, but no you can use the fpv upgrade mod completely plug and play. i just talked to jake and qc101 and a customer service rep from banggood and the camera plugs in exactly where the stock camera plugs in and you can record with the buttons on the controller.

@Zentg is correct...I was thinking for use with non compatible vehicles to be able to use the record function and needing to manually start recording.

Thanks for clearing that up...Sorry for the bad info.
