CH5 issue on KK2.1.x board

First I would like to say thanks for all the assistance I received on my previous thread - those issues seem to be resolved except:

When I have the cable going from CH5 on the my receiver to the 5th spot on my KK2 board - I can not arm, and the light on my receiver does not come on. If I unplug this wire - it will arm and everything functions normally.

I suspect there may be a setting I have wrong in the mixter settings on my board? Something must be set wrong relating the AUX channel to make it function this way. I have trieed different settings but always same result.

I have a Turnigy 5X transmitter and a Turnigy TGY-5RX reciever on a SK450 copter bought as RTF from Hobbyking. KK2.1.x is reflashed to Steveis 1.8and everything except for this function appears to work correctly. I currently have the self leveling set to stick and can turn it on/off that way so the function works - I would rather switch it using the CH5 switch...

Your input is most welcome! Thanks!
Doug

Hi mate if your wanting to arm and disarm self level you normally use the aux channel I dont know on your transmitter but on the spektrum transmitter its the gear switch we use
So your channel 5 receiver pins should go to the aux pins on the kk then in the menu change self lever arm from sticks to aux

I think I found the problem - others have had the same issue with Steveis 1.7 and higher and trying to use my RX/TX - Turnigy 5X. None of the links I found had anything resolved :(
I guess I will have to use the stick method to turn on/off self level until I can spring for a better TX/RX combo. At least it all works other than this one issue. It works fine with Steveis 1.6 and lower and with original programming but not with the later programs.... Lucky Me!

I did find that in the instructions - I have it set to stick as that is the only option that will work for me right now... I will need to look for a better Transmitter and receiver in the future anyways - I will be printing myself a Inspire clone this winter and will need an extra channel for the raise/lower function on the arms...
