Camera dates

I have a UDI U818A and a JJRC H8C. Both cameras date my recorded videos as September 2008 no matter how many times I format the cards. I have 8 other cameras and none of them display this anomaly. Any suggestions?

Thanks, trying to find understandable instructions from the maker/seller is impossible. I see a huge unfilled need for good translators for the growing China sales market.

Just by way of further explanation; the problem camera is the 2mg camera attached to the quadcopter. The other cameras are all either point and shoot, cellphone or DSLR's that can all be programmed. The tiny camera on the quadcopter cannot have any of the firmware or metadata changed. This is not life changing, just confusing when all the videos made always show the same created dates when downloaded to the PC.

It doesn't really solve your problem, TOGAR, but maybe you could just get little file cards and write the date on them and flash it front of the camera at the beginning of a flying day.

Not trying to be snarky or anything, just offering a solution. Hopefully, it is cheap and easy enough for you.

BTW, I know what you mean about the poor English of the guys who write the manuals. I have a Thunder charger with the ability store different programs in it and I have yet to figure out how to do it. The manual is pretty much no help. And I'm an equipment engineer who has figured out temperature controllers, industrial servos, plc's and a lot of other menu-driven devices but can't seem to crack the code on this charger. I'm not giving up though!
