Caged quadcopter now on Kickstarter

Hello again everyone!

If you remember the XT Flyer drone I talked about some time ago on here, it turns out the company making them is stepping up their game. They just started a Kickstarter a few days ago and seem to have some of a following on social media. Anyone thinking about getting their hands on one of them?

Huh. That's a well thought out quad. It remains to be seen if it can be produced and sold at a competitive price point while still offering all those features.

Well they are currently selling on Kickstarter for $299. That sounds pretty good to me, especially if you consider the safety value of the external design

I didn't know they were for sale yet. I thought it was a work in progress. $299.00 is a really good price. They should be really successful at that price. I expected $400-$500.00!

They also just released a graphic talking a little bit about their follow me function. Makes sense for them to talk about it since hitting an object in the way even at low speeds would be catastrophic for a low speed design.

I put in a "call me" request for January, 48 hours before the offer closes. We'll see where they are at then.
