Burned Power board Or Flight Controller? (Repair Help)

Went to the park to do some casual flying today but when I plugged my lipo to my Drone I saw smoke coming in between the Powerboard and the Flight Controller. I can arm and disarm it and basically do every directional control I wanted but the only problem was the receiver wasnt turning on and I couldnt see anything in my goggles. And so I went home and opened it up trying to find what burned but I cant see any significant marks to decide which was broken. I know its not the receiver thats broken because there was no smoke and an antenna was connected.

What fcb are you using.
Do you mean vtx as you said you you can arm disarm. & control it. Is your vtx connected to the fcb's vtx pins.
Maybe something got in & caused a short.
Only way to tell is to take the whole fpv system out. Get it working by itself.
Pictures & a list of parts would be handy.

Actually, it sounds more like you burned out a BEC on the power distribution board or flight controller. If your receiver and VTX or camera are gone, check which board they are connected to and replace it or move those power connections to the other board. Probably the FC unless you wired the power to your receiver to the PBD and just used the signal wires for the esc to the flight controller.

and yes, carbon fiber conducts. Always good practice to cover it with electrical tape were ever any wiring touches the frame. Under the esc's, around the pdb, between the vtx and frame, same for receiver unless it is covered in a plastic shell.
