Build or buy?

Hey guys, another noob here.
Need some advice on whether I should buy or build my quadcopter.
I was looking at the dji phantom 3 standard and since the price has gone down to 850 aud it has become more affordable. I love the features and flight time on that, but i want to use my gopro hero 3, and the camera on that is not removable so I am told. Would I be better off building a drone and mounting my gopro with an fpv system? Would I be able to have some of the features such as return to home, and waypoints etc.? Or is there a better rtf drone that would be easy to mount my gopro for a similar price?

Cheers

If the phantom's camera is like my inspire camera it will have built in stabilization. Also, you could remove the gimbal on that one and add a gopro gimbal, and then you could film with your gopro.

The other question is do you enjoy building as much as flying? If so then build is the answer. If you want to go out and have trouble free flight there are lots of good copters out there to choose from.

Honestly couldn't care less if i had to build it or not, It just means more work. But if a built one could outpeform a rtf one for the same price by a considerable margin then of course i would build. But do you have any suggestions of rtf quads capable of fpv with a gopro?
