I have a MJX Bugs2 5g. I use MRC pro app to connect to my drone. The app works fine at home but when I go to the beach everything hooks up but the software won't show what the camera sees and drops back to front screen. Can anyone help me please!!

Any reason why you do not choose Bugs Go app which appears to be Bugs2 assigned app?
Maybe this Bugs Go app will work at the beach. Worth a try?

Another thought........ Maybe find another 5g Wifi (802.11ac) smartphone, test it with the drone at the beach.

@davidhk129 I tried the Bugs Go App but it didn't "Go" Just won't connect!! I'm pretty sure at home I have an old Samsung phone with 5g capability so sometime this week I'll give that a shot!! Still has me beat that if I'm within range of "home" WiFi and my drone is WiFi connect to the drone then everything is fine...... as soon as I go elsewhere the app connects but the video doesn't come from camera to device??

RE : at home I have an old Samsung phone with 5g

Making sure we are on the same page...........
When it says this drone is a 5g drone, it means the drone's camera is 5G WIFI transmission. It will need a phone that also has 5g wifi in order to connect the camera with the phone. The controller is still operating at 2.4g wifi transmission.
If your phone has 5g Wifi, it should show from Settings section that it has 802.11ac WIFI.
If you can't find from your phone's Settings, go to the net and google for your phone's specifications.
Example : googling from the net for Apple Iphone 6, under its specs section, it shows this........

OK thanks.... I am aware the camera is 5G no worries. I'll give X Drone a try as well. Does anybody know anything about the QUADAIR drone?? I want to get another drone but don't want the camera to "dip" when I move forward or backward. I guess a drone with a good gimbal if there any recommendations...also priced round $300.00......thanks!

What currency?
More importantly, what country you are residing?

I'll take a gamble that you are from USA.

For $300 US your best bet would be DJI Mini SE. It is priced at $299 US from Amazon.com.

Partial quotes from one of the DJI Mini SE reviews:

The DJI Mini SE allows you to capture 12MP aerial photos and 2.7K HD videos. It also offers supreme stability with a 3-axis motorized gimbal which ensures clear footage without a lag.

A very good suggestion. It come with a controller but only one battery.
I have a Zino Mini Pro which is a great little drone with a better CMOS sensor, but I've come to realise that the DJI software and maturity make the SE a much better bet. Even though its camera is not so good this is more than made up for by the DJI software. For a price sensitive drone, the SE has to be the one. £268.99 in the UK. My Zino Mini Pro was circa £500. I should have bought the Mini SE.

Thanks...I think the SE is the go and they are about AUD$380.00 or so. Thanks all for the tips !!
