Bugs 3 and a Flysky Transmitter

Thanks @RENOV8R, I have one already but not yet tried it on this drone. Gave up trying to get it to work on another drone I have but thanks for looking. I will dig it out and try it on the Bugs 3

Just take out the tx & put the stock flysky rx in it. Did you get the ia6 pwm or an ia6b with the i6 tx.
What rx is in that bugs.
Just had a quick look at it. I wouldn't bother just use it as a trainer until it breaks.
It's guts are probably all on the same board.
Fcb, esc's, rx. With some proper digging, you may be able to find a way to.
7.4v is a toy to me. It can't cut your fingers off. It's amazing what an extra 4v can do.
Does it have acro mode or just do a flip on a switch.

Thanks guys good input and thoughts.

@mozquito1 I had to google acro mode which probably tells you much

I have the Flysky FS I6X, bought for my build but never yet used on a real drone. I had a quick go on a simulator.

The Bugs 3 will flip on a switch, but that is not my thing. One attraction was ultra low tech so I can learn to fly. The next requirement was the grunt to carry a drone. The Bugs made me realise just how small my first toy drone was.

I had hoped the Bug 3 took me out of the toy space, hey ho still learning and I love it so far.

I don’t want to take a soldering iron to it yet, but this shows potential for bigger mods later:

The only potential for mods is the frame by gutting it when or if the board fails & putting in a new FC & esc's, rx
& you maybe able to push them motors to take a 3S lipo. Just fly it like you stole it.
£10 FC
£30 for esc's
Yo already got tx/rx so 40 rips you will be good to go again. Acro or not.

I thi k that board is the whole lot, fc, esc's & RX. Once one goes its all gone.
You could buy a naze f3 for that price. & use your flysky gear. Yo just need 4 esc's.
And get alot more range.

I used to have one of those but lost it way up in a tree lol.

Always wondered if you could yank out the bugs aio board, keep the escs and just solder in a pdb and fcb, then you could use any receiver you wanted.

At least separate esc's so if the main board went then all you need is a pdb and fc.
So that board is an FC and rx.
What lipo does it take.?
I thought you said 7.4v 2S .
The caps suggest 3S. The link does not say.

It looks that way ,I was just saying that but he not into acro. ;)yet

I used to use dys 1806 that where only rated 3S but could take 4S.
The caps on the esc's are rated 25v so could pass through a 3S lipo.
The cap itself could take 4S but unsure about the ESC and motor.
But definitely 3S with a lot more bite than 2S.
