Broken driveshaft

Hey folks. New forum member, new quad owner. Have a Skyline Quad Pro quadcopter, and it's got a broken rotor driveshaft. This is the piece that goes from the rotor to the gear box on the rotor arm. The shaft is solid steel, about 3/32" or so (maybe about 1.5mm for you metric types) in diameter. It's about two inches long or so. The metal shaft is mated to a plastic rotor mount/adapter. Apparently this plastic piece is molded around the driveshaft. This is the piece that has broken. The driveshaft has sheared inside the plastic adapter. 2 part epoxy won't even hold as a repair. Question... Has anyone any idea of a source for a replacement part? I've tried talking to the manufacturer and they don't seem to be able to comprehend my needs. I've included a picture (poor as it is, in order to see the detail, I had to get the camera too close to focus.)

Hobbyking sells a lot of replacement shafts, but even if you find the right size shaft, I don't know where you'd be able to get that plastic piece. Have you tried to buy a whole replacement motor from them? It shouldn't cost more than $10-15 unless they mark it up a lot.

The previous owner tried working with the manufacturer, and got no joy. I've started a help ticket with them on this as well and haven't seen any light at the end of the tunnel. They're fond of e-mailing links to their "spare parts" page, but the page does NOT include this particular part. They send the original owner a driveshaft and adapter, but they apparently belong to a coaxial heli instead of this quad-copter, so again no joy. Was hoping someone here might have had the same situation and might have had a resolution they could pass on...
