Best reliable flight controller board?

unfortunantly I dont ever have time to stop in places like that.

I drive a tow truck and am on call 24/7. So I work on my projects on and off.
I think ill just get a radio that is ready to go to use with little customization. but still upgradable and what not.

So thinking a futaba or spektrum.

Hi The orange is a direct clone of the spektrum and work on orange and lemon as well as spektrum receivers very easy to use and set up I have know people to get duff trananis radios , if it was me I would go spektrum or the orange clone ( the clone is only 6 channel so if you need more it will not work for you )
all the flying that done on the hobby king videos are with the orange transmitters and receivers so you know its going to work out of the box

Do these new transmitters like program themselves to the FC or something? I mean how is a better quality radio going to make this fly better?

Hi say you get the DX6i set us as plane then if you go into monitor screen on the KK all should be zero ( not aux) if not you can go into transmitter sub trims and dial all to zero, what this does is make the FCB see center points on the channels ( not as cheaper transmitter one channel may have 3 points of input lets say to the elev channel so when you take off the quad goes forwards or backwards as its not zero)
Then you can use the gear switch to turn the self level on and off in flight ,cant always do this on the cheap transmitters , and the biggest thing is as you change from model to model it knows the set up keeps it in the memory so it flys as it did the last time every time
as for program its easy to set up the FCB does most of the work I am always here to help you set up , and once its done its done for good

I started with a flysky and its ok for a starter radio, but the quality is not there. My next radio was a Frsky Taranis and I could not image using anything else for my models.

Hi mate fly sky is working on people buy them thinking they are getting frsky which is loads better

hmm tricky people.

Well im getting ready to bid on a futaba 6ex with receiver. Should be less than $100

Sounds like a good deal to me

So hopefully with this I can rule out the transmitter as an issue with my quad.

If it doesnt resolve it, guess ill go from there but I will be back when I receive the transmitter

Well got my transmitter. Very nice and excited to get this thing going.

I have absolutely no idea how to program this thing though, or better yet if I even need too.

I didn't get a manual for the R6106HFC so i looked one up.
I'm still unclear though on what channels plug into what ports on the it.
Also does anyone know how to turn it on?!

I use the kk2 board but did upgrade the firmware hovers better now.
It may just need settings up, kk2 set up and remote setup. Have a look here http://notsealed.com/quad.html
Seriously I typed them in and went and flew no dramas. Good to get a good base values. The kk2 base setting are no good
