As the topic says: What went wrong?

Well, i was trying to say the spinups never happenes with the old Hobbyking YEP! 18A ESCs. But the random crashes still happened with them. Im using Kiss 18A ESCs now. I have seen videos of those KISS ESCs with my Tiger 2206 motors working together just fine.

And while testing the motors today they worked fine without spinnups. I have used them one by one on a different PDB so i think that might have been the reason for the spinnups.

Just for an opinion; what would be your best bet, continue to spend money and time on this problem quad or move on to an preferably pretty cheap fpv platform. If second, any recommendations?

Ok, then we can the two events are independent, or caused by the same common variable that does not affect the other ESC spinning up. Can you provide pictures of all of the solder joints you did? Sometimes they can look and feel solid. Also I had two of my HK 30a ESCs come in with bridged solder joints. I would not have noticed it untill I had all four uncovered.

Everything is taken apart for better inspection but will investigate all ESCs, the PDB and the Nazes solder joints tomorrow. Pictures will come too. (cross ocean-time zones and exam time make coorparation not so easy)

Pfhhh, finally had time. The pictures explain a little. The Motor 2 signal pin may have caused interferance, but i had that naze with the old escs too and there were no spinups with the old escs. The kiss escs had oneshot125 running, i disabled it for testing wiithout the naze. Everything looks fine in my opinion.

No sorry, there's no solder bridged. I read an rcgroups thread where it was almost the same issue and a bad motor caused the naze to sort of "disarm". I guess i should bolt the motors to a bench and stress test them with props on?
A few minutes?

Thanks for the advice, that are some clear warnings! I know how sharp these things can be even at low speeds.... ;/....Under extra safe safety preperations i will prepare a test bench tomorrow. Testing is going to be outside with good cover and gloves! If anything interesting appears, i might even do a video. ;)

So i noticed one motor pulling up the bell a little. Response and reliability were perfect while testing tho.
Watch in fullscreen and HD to see it more clearly.

Ok. But then this quad must be have a bad curse on it.... On paper/during testing every single part from bolts to solder looks good and works flawless. In the air the quad just cuts all motors. I have ordered one last replacement ESC and a new PDB. If that does NOT work, i really don't know what to do.

Build a second quad :)
