Another kk2 question

yes it does, it'll read and respond to the accelerometer and gyro data wrongly if it thinks it's in a wrong orientation. Check Board Offset in Misc Settings 2:

o 0 – Zero degrees offset. KK2.1.X board faces forward.
o +45 or -45 – KK2.1.X board is mounted at 45 degrees.
o +90 or -90 – KK2.1.X board is mounted at 90 degrees.
o 180 – 180 degrees offset. KK2.1.X board faces backwards.

Appendix H in the instruction manual

yes, exactly, so if you tilted the quad in the pitch direction, then a board mounted at 45% would measure change of angle in both pitch and roll equally - experiment with changing that board offset parameter

OK, thanks. I was just moving things around a bit to balance it out a little. What would I do without this forum, a world of info at my fingertips.

Does the orientation of the kk2 affect flight? Only since I've turned it 45 degrees the quad now veers left on takeoff.
Yes, orientation does, but position does not really matter. Board offset is what you need to change if you are running stevi firmware. If you are mounting it as an X frame on a + frame 45 degrees + or - depending on CW or CCW rotation.
