AF vs. MF on Canon Lens

Hi one is auto focus other is manual focus , manual is out as you can't get to lens while in flight so auto is your only option
 
Normally milliseconds depends on target sometimes it will have a hard time to focus
 
If it were me I would shoot video and frame grab. That may not be an option for you

Back when I shot film we said that film was cheap and took multiple exposures. Well, pixels or electrons are cheaper. Shoot as much as you can and cull the images that you don’t like.
