Adding audio to video

Hi, I've been trying, in vain, to add audio files to my 501s drone videos. I've converted to files to various formats with no success. "Unable to open vlc file etc etc etc".
Even no success using Movie Maker. Any ideas please?

Being a professional videographer, may I say that you would need to produce a new video combining the original video with a sound file. You can't do it the way you are thinking. Think of using Pinnacle Studio, where you can import the video file and the audio file into the same storyboard. Then you would need to save the file, in its entirety, as an AVI or MPEG-4 file. Unlike a Phantom with a GoPro Camera that picks up audio, the 501s has a built in camera with no audio capabilities that I know of!

Yah not entirely sure what's being asked if you have a non corrupt video file in some format you can use ffmpeg or if on windows check out winff to convert the file to something that can be used in a video editor... otherwise other option is upload to YouTube let them convert to webm or vp6 or h264 whatever they are using then edit the video on YouTube to add music.
