Action camera for fpv and recording?

I've seen some 4k wifi go pro knock offs with good reviews on Amazon. Could one of these be used as a all in one solution to provide recorded pics/video and fpv all at same time? Not looking at it for racing. Thinking about hanging one on a bugs 3, phantom 1 or such. Phone/tablet could be used for fpv and camera control. that could hold a camera but doesn't have fpv.

Or could action camera be used with a 5.8ghz video transmitter so you would be able to see exactly what's recorded?

Took a quick look at this. Looks interesting. If you have tried this setup what was your personal experience with it?

Not yet but when my fpv cams are dead & my no pro. I will get one. Seeing good reviews though. Don't know about latency but I only fly acro mainly so no worries there.

Thx. I'm guessing your running the racing style quads. I'm betting it would take a lot of trial and mostly errors to get good enough for steady photo/video
