A new set of chess pieces

Unlike those chess sets I printed before which are either too "ho-hum" or too "funky", the set I found from Thingiverse yesterday is both traditional and elegent. It can grace any living room.

I used Anycubic Mega S for the white pieces. Ender 3 for the Blue pieces.
No Support needed.
Anycubic printer is much faster, but Ender 3 produces much better quality prints.

The Rook actually has spiral stairs leading from bottom to the top. One looking down from the top will see the steps.

Notice the detail of the horse head with eyes and nostrils.

Notice the face of the Queen.

Ooh I like the design. I'm in the middle of a set sort of similar with a spiral base and traditional top. One set is black and the other set is ivory coloured filament which seems to be the norm for commercial chess sets.

Nice comparison I'm still trying to revive my diy machine so only have the prusa working but it's still a champ. Having fun with some sunlu "silk pla" at the moment.

Handful of recent prints, putting this thing to work... For fun :)

Indeed, I just setup "octolapse" plugin on octopi and printed a mount for my pi cam finally so can get some pretty cool time lapses now too that aren't so jittery:

^^ this was over the course of last night and this morning. I surprisingly have big gaps between printing things but then go on binges like this week :)

Very cool. I just got Octoprint set up on the weekend, now I need to start exploring the plugins. I also upgraded the firmware on my touchscreen and main board to ADVi3++ so now I've got a flashy color screen and all kinds of extra settings and options like auto PID tuning, e-step calibration

Mr fancy pants over here :)

Working on upgrading my diy machine to use a bigtreetech skr v1.3 (there's a 1.4 now) but dealing with some weird config problems with the bl touch and z homing direction stuff hopefully have it sorted out soon the sensor less x and y are sweet with tmc2209 drivers on here though and basically control all the driver stuff over UART so can do it with gcode or config changes.
