a few questions for the "new guy"

Hey my name is wes, I am very new to the quadcopter world. I received for Christmas a little Dromida…. Loved it but already lost it, so I want to build a quadcopter for fun. I have been reading a lot online and watching YouTube. This is what I am thinking:

DJI f450 airframe

Brushless motors- not sure what ones to get

ESC – I know 30A but not sure what ones are good to get

Naza flight controller with GPS

Carbon fiber props

Landing gear – eBay

Prop guards to start off with

DJI iOSD

Fatshark teleporter v3 kit

EBay gimbal for my gopro

I don’t know what controller to get I know I want to be able to control flight with it, and the gimbal. I would also like to get some led’s that can be turned on an off by the controller while in flight, also is there anything I can get that I can turn on and off in flight that will beep loudly in case I crash it (this will most definitely happen) into the forest that surrounds me….

I am mostly going to use this just to take photos of the forest and hills around where I live and take it with me when I travel…..

Thanks for the help

Wes

Hi Wes , welcome to the forum , as you looking at DJI you can get a flame wheel with most of what you want ,but your need to build it ,but thats most of the fun, one of the lads on here found the right one for you has what you want already to go , so I will look back in the threads and find the link for you its a good price

As for transmitter go for a 8 or more this will give you some spare channels ,
this is more personal taste really , I use a spektrum DX9
