A cheap/beginner drone with (good) camera

Hello everyone,

My name is Jesse and next summer i'll be going to Austria and I came up with the idea of buying a drone with a camera so I could make some cool video's in the mountains and around those lakes. I'm a beginner in drone flying and my price range is around 100-150 maybe 170 max. I've looked up some drones on the internet and found the following which looked ok for me, but I'm not sure:

- Syma X5C
- Hubsan X4 H107C (the one with the 720p cam)
- La Trax - Alia

Remeber that I will only or mostly fly it outdoors so how the drone handles the wind is also an important thing. I'm really curious what I could buy and give me a good video. It would be cool if I could hover and or have a steady camera shot without it flipping weirdly and shaking a lot.

Since I'm a newb in drones or RCV I hope some people on this forum can help me!

I wouldn't worry about a camera till you learn to fly. I would suggest getting either a Syma X5C-1 or the Nihui U807 both are very good starter quads. Parts for either are fairly cheap and easy to get.

Having both I think I would recommend the U807 though both are easy fliers in the beginners mode. Learning to fly a quad your gonna crash and break things so it's best to start with one of the cheap toy class quadcopters. Then when summer come buy a nice stable quad for photos & video to take on your trip.

I know it's probably not a good idea to get an expensive drone for a first one. Curently I'm really liking this Syma x8G. I acctually only want to buy it for the recordings. Before I'd even buy a drone over the 100 euro's I'd probably practice with a 30 dollar toy thingy. Also I've seen this Walera QR W100s. But yeah, the most important thing for my is the quality of the camera and if the drone is stable in flight so it doesn't have a lot of movement going on while maintaining a position/altitude. Also someone mentioned that if ill be flying in the mountains that the drone might have some problems with climbing, do you have a sollution or tips for that? Also I have a question about camera jello. I've seen in a lot of video's that this jello is most of the time there. Are there any fixes for that? Sorry for the many questions but I'm trying to learn a lot here.

EDIT: It would be kinda nice if there is live feed directing back so i know what kind of video I've taken. Is there a special search tag for that?

Id have to say neither of those models are going to carry a "good" camera in the windy mountains..Those 3 models barely carry cheap garbage cameras which weigh less than any decent camera will unless you wanted an 808 #16 camera which is better than any 2mp camera on alot of quad models.

You want something more powerful in my opinion and i dont see why a Syma X8G which comes with a decent camera wouldnt fit you needs better than the 3 choices you presented..All great quads by the way but not really even close to giving you a decent video with the quality of camera they are capable of lifting or may come with.

However ,considering you are new and have never flown a quad before, i would pick up that x5c-1 with the stock camera and learn how to fly first...You can learn to play with camera angles and learn to compensate for winds and the elements (on something less powerful) before spending more money on something better.

Syma X5C-1 to learn on. $50.00
Nihui U807 (Alias clone) $40 with an 808 #16 v3 D lens camera $40.00 (even better set up)
SYMA X8G next step up. ($140 to 160 ish).

Just some advice with flying in winds with toy quads...FLY LOW! Or lose your quad.
