5045 vs. 6030

I've been flying the 5045's with my NightHawk 250 but have exhausted my supply. The kit came with the 6030's but it was suggested that I start with the 5045's and now that I have run dry of my initial purchase I went back to my LHS today to find that they were also running low of the same, I bought more but also some 6030's...I'm going to keep flying the 5045's as long as possible but my question is...

What difference can I expect between the two different props on my 250?

These days there many props available, brands and pitch.

This may show some differences.

Also note the winner of the F3 FPV competition used these.

I've been using the Gemfan 5045's as recommended by my LHS and judging by the chart above they gave me the most effecient and well rounded prop. As far as handling, it tried the 6030's I had last night and I'm certainly really noob but to me they felt a little sluggish in comparison to the 5045's.

You're using the bullnose, correct? Well the chart would bear that out GF 5045BN - 601 gr thrust vs. 500 gr for the Diatone 6030s they list.

Why not try the the top dog 795 gr thrust BN from the chart.

Get some green and orange to try.

FWIW with the inexpensive CF/nylon 1045 props I use, the black ones seem to break more readily.

Why not give some 3 leafs a try? Ya never know. :)
