5.8ghz antenna on 2.4 system

Ok so I have seen several antenna upgrades done. While searching for the bare wire cloverleaf style I have noticed many if them marked at 5.8ghz. I'm curious if these will work on a 2.4ghz system?

No, the range would be terrible, the antennas have bends in the correct places and the "leafs" are the correct length. On another note 2.4gHz does not need to be polarized.
