4k action cam upgrade suggestions?(Syma X8 series)

Hi all. I've got a Syma x8sw, also considering the x8 pro. What I'm after is a 4k action cam that can also take(minimum) 12MP stills. This would be for dronebase missions. any suggestions that won't break the bank? I'm thinking no more that $150, otherwise, I'd consider moving up to the Xaiomi 4k drone(just under $400 at banggood). Thanks

The Xiaomi Mi is a great bird at a great price; I've been thinking about grabbing one. However, if you already have a Syma X8 (I have an X8G), and plan on continuing to fly it (like I do), the Gitup Git2 action cam works well. You can get one for about $120. Here's an example of the kind of footage you can capture with it:
. I have it mounted on a Bugs 3 in this video, but it also works well on the X8. Sometimes I don't feel like dealing with GPS and compass calibrations, so I fly my X8 or Bugs 3.

this looks promising, just not sure if its a true 4k
...

Actually, if you're wanting to shoot true 4K, you're right to be cautious. I didn't think about it, since I don't shoot in 4K, but most of the GoPro clones (including the SJCam 5000x I mentioned) capture interpolated 4K, not native 4K video.

However, if you truly plan on shooting 4K video be sure you know what you're getting into. Unless you've invested some pretty serious money in your PC it's unlikely you have the memory and processing power needed to work with 4K output.

Thanks for the responses, I changed up a bit. Best buy is selling the Parrot AR 2.0(power edition) for $125 plus tax. Better drone, brushless motors, etc. I returned the X8, got the parrot, but the plan is the same, so this info will be very useful. I DON'T have a strong PC for processing, but, for dronebase missions that might not be necessary, we'll see. Thanks again.
