Is it technically feasible, and if so has anyone tried, to rig up a copter with a 4G sim card in order to break the limitation on proximity between the copter and groundstation? My guess is that lag would be a problem, even if other tech issues are overcome.
 
There's actually a product that does this, but it's for video, not actual control of the copter. Although - you could send it on GPS missions and then say maybe program something in to send controls to it that don't need to be exactly real time... like return to home, etc.
