I was wondering if anyone here had built a 3d quadcopter. I would really like to know what blades they used and motors to fly upside down. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Actually there is a quad that you can buy that called the
Stingray 500 made by curtisyoungblood. It uses rotors that are more like that of a heli-copter. It is the most acrobatic I have seen. It accomplishes inverted flight so easy even a beginner can do it.

I know about the Stingray. I have seen a few fixed pitched 3d quads. Less moving parts the better. The Stingray is pretty cool though. I have seen a quads that can fly upside down by reversing the motor. ESC get flashed with SimonK firmware. I just need to know what blades to use since I want to build my own.

Would you be safer to just put motors on the reverse side? I say this to avoid having to chance the direction of the motor mid flight and create a load of stress. I think this could be easily done with arducopter or mutiwii.

I found the readymaderc site early tonight. Gonna give it a shot and see what happens. Thanks for the help.

The props don't have a curve to them. There pretty much flat on both sides. So when the motor is reversed the props will give lift.
